The Juneau Douglas Officials Association (JDOA) and Juneau Softball Association (JSA) are currently recruiting for Umpires for the 2018 Slow Pitch Softball Season. Training will begin March 8, 2018. Adult softball games are held May through August.
If you have umping experience or the interest in getting out and calling balls and strikes and making some extra money, we could use you. Umpires are needed 2-3 games per night, 1-5 nights a week Monday through Friday. 3 weekend tournaments are held during the season. Experience is desired, but training is available. This is a great opportunity for you to earn some extra money while getting some good exercise!
Training will begin Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Thunder Mountain High School 6-8pm in Room C-105, for 8 consecutive Thursdays. Training will include rules, mechanics, managing the game and handling play situations.
